When I first started digital painting, I followed a very rigid lineart based process that basically entailed time consuming pencil work followed by time consume inking followed by time consuming grayscaling followed by time consuming coloring. I thought to myself -what the hell, really, is this how it's done?!- and looked up digital painting tutorials. I came across a number of artists that posted processes like these and my productivity (and confidence) skyrocketed. This process--taking the paint and sculpting it as opposed to lining first--just makes so much more sense and I think it encourages creativity.
You're one of my favorite character illustrators on da by far. Amazing.
